REQUIREMENTS:
For Remains of Persons being shipped to Jamaica
as Ashes or Corpses
1. Must be in a hermetically sealed casket or urn.
2. Embalmment certificate needed for corpse.
3. Report of Coroner or other person certifying death.
4. Medical report of cause of death. (State if communicable disease).
5. Passport of the deceased to be available for presentation to Jamaican
Authorities.
6. All reports and certificates must be in triplicate and with the body
or casket at all times.
7. Jamaican Ministry of Health must be notified as to the flight number,
and expected time of arrival.
8. If corpse, the funeral parlor in Jamaica must meet the body at the
airport.
